Brief
How far can a single square go before it stops being a pattern and starts being a picture?
Approach
I drew one square and repeated, scaled and shifted it, testing every pattern at stamp size and at wall size. Only the patterns that worked at both sizes made it into the set.
Result
One pattern was printed as wallpaper for a friend’s studio, and the set is now available as a small series of prints.
