Brief
Teatro Vento opens six new plays a season, from slapstick comedy to quiet tragedy. They needed one poster that could carry the whole programme on the street and in the foyer, without favouring any single play.
Approach
I kept it to three colours and one big brushstroke, painted at full size and screen-printed in two separate runs. The second pass never lined up exactly, so no two sheets are the same, which suits a theatre where no two nights are either.
Result
The poster ran across the city for four months in three sizes, with a run of street flyers alongside. The theatre has since adopted the brushstroke as its season mark and uses it on tickets and programmes.
